Sharjeel Khan finally paved his way of an early comeback


Pakistan's restricted Test batsman Sharjeel Khan has acknowledged every one of the five charges forced on him by the Anti-Corruption Tribunal of the Pakistan Cricket Board in an offer to make an early rebound to residential cricket.

Khan is serving a five-year boycott for his job in spot-settling embarrassment amid the Pakistan Super League in February 2017.

Khan's legal advisor Shaighan Ejaz affirmed that his customer has documented an application with the PCB Chairman to enable him to play residential cricket before his boycott lapses toward the finish of August this year.

"Sharjeel has in his application acknowledged the boycott forced on him by the court which implies that he has acknowledged the five charges that were spread out against him under the counter defilement code," Ejaz said.


The Anti-Corruption Tribunal of the PCB had banned Sharjeel, who has appeared in one Test, 25 ODIs and 15 T20 internationals, last year in August for five-years with half of his sentence to remain suspended.

"We have asked the PCB Chairman to permit Sharjeel to continue playing club and residential cricket before his boycott finishes in August. The Chairman needs to get endorsement of the Board of Governors to permit this under a proviso of the counter debasement code," the legal advisor said.

Ejaz said that in his application, Khan, 29, admitted to his slip-ups. He was blamed for breaking five provisions of the counter defilement code. The left-hander has played one Test, 25 ODIs and 15 T20 internationals for Pakistan.

One of the more genuine accusations against Khan is that he had met with a presumed bookmaker and consented to spot-settling amid the principal match of the second period of the PSL.

Pakistani team was ranked 9th and it was quite difficult for them to qualify for CT17 but somehow Pakistan Team manage enter ICC Champion Trophy as 8th ranked in ICC One day Internationals ranking.

(First match against India on 4th June)

Pakistan's first match in ICC Champion Trophy was scheduled against their arch rivals India on 4th June 2017. rain interruption caused a long delay for action to begin two overs reduced and match started with Pakistan winning the toss and elected to bowl first Pakistan bowlers looked nervous and pressurised against Indian batsmans and could only took three wickets in whole Inning. India decorated a huge target of 320 with the help of fifties of Rohit Sharma, Shikar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh and captain Virat Kohli. Pakistan got all out inside 34 over on 164 with one and only fifty of Azhar Ali. Indian pace man Umesh Yadav took 3 wickets, Jadeja and Hardik Pandya ended up taking 2 wickets each.Yuvraj Singh was awarded man of the match for his brilliant cameo of 53 off 32 balls.

Who had ever thought underdog Pakistan will be first team to qualify for the final of ICC Champion Trophy 2017 from being ranked last among the playing teams of the tournament to being the first one to qualify for the final. Pakistan had defeated hot favourite England in the 1st semi final restricting them on just 212 runs and chasing down the target easily by 6 wickets.

Second semifinal was between Bangladesh who had never played CT final before and the defending CT champions India. India defeated Bangladesh easily by chasing target of 262 Rohit Sharma had scored century in the semi final and helped his team to inter into the final>

18th June the day had came when the arch rivals off to face each other once again in the same tournament that too in final of Champion Trophy 2017, this time things were different and were in favour of Pakistan. as India won the toss and decided to bowl first everything was going so well for India until Jaspirt Bumrah took wicket of Fakhar Zaman on a no ball, and that no ball costed India a lot. Fakhar Zaman ended up scoring his maiden century and helped his team to set huge target of 339 runs. as we said this time things were different it was Pakistan`s day.

India started struggling from the beginning losing their opening batsman Rohit Sharma who had scored century in Semi final against Bangladesh, and Virat Kohli on just 6 runs. that was not all for them things got even worsen for them. half of their team had gone back to pavilion for just 55 runs and lost their 6th wickets on 76 runs then Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya took the charge scored thrilling 76 runs of 43 balls and settled up a partnership of 80 runs with his partner Ravindera Jadeja. Hardik got run out because of Jadeja when India's total score was 152 he could do anything else then losing his cool then again Indian batting lineup collapsed and got all out on 158 runs losing by 180 runs to Pakistan that's their biggest ever victory in terms of runs in a final game. it was first time when Pakistan had won the Champion trophy.

In those 100 overs every thing happened that can happen in a One day game the match was played in Edgbaston, Birmingham after a thrilling and exciting action the match ended up as tie and Australia gone through to final for having a good net run rate in points table. In last two balls when only 1 run was required Klusener tried to complete run but his partner Allan Donald couldn't escape himself from getting run out and South Africa's dream to play the world cup final for the first time was broken.

A Golden day in Pakistan's Cricket History as they defeated India in champion trophy 2017

The historical final was played between Pakistan and India at Oval Cricket Ground, India won the toss and elected to bowl first all was going great for India but the wicket of Fakhar Zaman on a No ball by Bumrah cost India a lot and Pakistan put a huge target of 339 runs, noting gone well for India as they fall in trouble from the beginning when Muhammad Aamir Dismissed Rohit Sharma for nun and Virat Kohli for 5 runs, none of Indians batsman could stayed strong against Pakistani bowlers apart from Hardik Pandya who scored 76 of 43 deliveries and Indian batting summed up on 158 and Pakistan won by 180 runs.

Australia won the world cup by defeating Pakistan

Pakistan started the tournament as the hot favourite and provided great performance in group stage matches but their performance in final was very poor and ended up losing the final. Pakistan scored just 132 runs while Batting first and 25 runs where the extras and highest score from the team was Ijaz Ahmed who scored 22 runs. Australia chased down the target in just 20.1 overs and won the title then Australian team went on winning two more world cup titles in 2003 and 2007. Their streak of winning 3 titles continuously was broken by India in 2011 who won their second world cup.
