Pakistani team was ranked 9th and it was quite difficult for them to qualify for CT17 but somehow Pakistan Team manage enter ICC Champion Trophy as 8th ranked in ICC One day Internationals ranking.

Pakistan's first match in ICC Champion Trophy was scheduled against their arch rivals India on 4th June 2017. rain interruption caused a long delay for action to begin two overs reduced and match started with Pakistan winning the toss and elected to bowl first Pakistan bowlers looked nervous and pressurised against Indian batsmans and could only took three wickets in whole Inning. India decorated a huge target of 320 with the help of fifties of Rohit Sharma, Shikar Dhawan, Yuvraj Singh and captain Virat Kohli. Pakistan got all out inside 34 over on 164 with one and only fifty of Azhar Ali. Indian pace man Umesh Yadav took 3 wickets, Jadeja and Hardik Pandya ended up taking 2 wickets each.Yuvraj Singh was awarded man of the match for his brilliant cameo of 53 off 32 balls.

Who had ever thought underdog Pakistan will be first team to qualify for the final of ICC Champion Trophy 2017 from being ranked last among the playing teams of the tournament to being the first one to qualify for the final. Pakistan had defeated hot favourite England in the 1st semi final restricting them on just 212 runs and chasing down the target easily by 6 wickets.

Second semifinal was between Bangladesh who had never played CT final before and the defending CT champions India. India defeated Bangladesh easily by chasing target of 262 Rohit Sharma had scored century in the semi final and helped his team to inter into the final>

18th June the day had came when the arch rivals off to face each other once again in the same tournament that too in final of Champion Trophy 2017, this time things were different and were in favour of Pakistan. as India won the toss and decided to bowl first everything was going so well for India until Jaspirt Bumrah took wicket of Fakhar Zaman on a no ball, and that no ball costed India a lot. Fakhar Zaman ended up scoring his maiden century and helped his team to set huge target of 339 runs. as we said this time things were different it was Pakistan`s day.

India started struggling from the beginning losing their opening batsman Rohit Sharma who had scored century in Semi final against Bangladesh, and Virat Kohli on just 6 runs. that was not all for them things got even worsen for them. half of their team had gone back to pavilion for just 55 runs and lost their 6th wickets on 76 runs then Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya took the charge scored thrilling 76 runs of 43 balls and settled up a partnership of 80 runs with his partner Ravindera Jadeja. Hardik got run out because of Jadeja when India's total score was 152 he could do anything else then losing his cool then again Indian batting lineup collapsed and got all out on 158 runs losing by 180 runs to Pakistan that's their biggest ever victory in terms of runs in a final game. it was first time when Pakistan had won the Champion trophy.

That day one of the greatest one day match was played probably the best ever played in the World and such match might never be played again. In those 100 overs every thing happened that can happen in a One day game the match was played in Edgbaston, Birmingham after a thrilling and exciting action the match ended up as tie and Australia gone through to final for having a good net run rate in points table. In last two balls when only 1 run was required Klusener tried to complete run but his partner Allan Donald couldn't escape himself from getting run out and South Africa's dream to play the world cup final for the first time was broken.

Bangladesh restricted Kangaroos on 249 runs for 5 wickets and then Muhammad Ashraful scored his first ever ODI hundred and Bangladesh continued to chase the target quickly and the last over came 7 runs were required on 6 balls Jason Gillespie had the ball in his hand and then Australian fans witnessed a shocking scene when Gillespie was struck end for the six on very first ball of the over by Aftab Ahmed and then also conceded single on next ball and that way Australia lost to Bangladesh for the first time and a famous news paper of Sydney " Daily Telegraph " wrote that it's Australia's most embracing lose ever.

A Golden day in Pakistan's Cricket History as they defeated India in champion trophy 2017

The historical final was played between Pakistan and India at Oval Cricket Ground, India won the toss and elected to bowl first all was going great for India but the wicket of Fakhar Zaman on a No ball by Bumrah cost India a lot and Pakistan put a huge target of 339 runs, noting gone well for India as they fall in trouble from the beginning when Muhammad Aamir Dismissed Rohit Sharma for nun and Virat Kohli for 5 runs, none of Indians batsman could stayed strong against Pakistani bowlers apart from Hardik Pandya who scored 76 of 43 deliveries and Indian batting summed up on 158 and Pakistan won by 180 runs.

Australia won the world cup by defeating Pakistan

Pakistan started the tournament as the hot favourite and provided great performance in group stage matches but their performance in final was very poor and ended up losing the final. Pakistan scored just 132 runs while Batting first and 25 runs where the extras and highest score from the team was Ijaz Ahmed who scored 22 runs. Australia chased down the target in just 20.1 overs and won the title then Australian team went on winning two more world cup titles in 2003 and 2007. Their streak of winning 3 titles continuously was broken by India in 2011 who won their second world cup.

On 10 June 2012 Tino Best scored 95 runs that too batting at Number 11 against England in England, he played strokes all over the ground and helped his team to past 400 runs first time in England on the other hand his partner Dinesh Ramdin scored century after three years.  Najam Sethi the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board the man behind fast development of Pakistan Cricket team, he founded Pakistan Super League which is a factory of producing young talents itself, The League has already given us Multi talented players like Hassan Ali, Shadab Khan, Hussain Talat, Ruman Raees, the league is the main cause of Pakistan winning ICC Champions trophy 2017 and being ranked number one. He is the reason behind all this.

But As Pakistan team is in England currently for tour of Ireland, England, and Scotland. He went England where he spended 45 lacs Pakistani rupees, more than 1 lac a day for his visit. When he was questioned he had no answer. We think it's people's money which they have paid by paying tex and it should not have wasted like this on useless self tours.

The tour kicked of with a match Played between Ireland and Pakistan on May 15 which historical match for Ireland as they played their first test after getting test status. Pakistan won that match by 5 wickets. Series between England and Pakistan started on 24 may in Lord's. England batted first and got all out on 184 with Abass and Aamir taking 4-fer each. Pakistan scored 363 runs in 1st inning. Even in 2nd inning England batsmen couldn't show the magic and scored just 242 runs giving Pakistan a very easy target to chase of 66 which Pakistan chased with 9 wickets in hand.
Second test of the series on 1 June in leeds that test was like a bad dream for Pakistani team as new comers of England Dominic Bess and Sam shined and England defeated Pakistan by 1 inning and 55 runs.

Now Pakistani team has arrived in Scotland for a series of Two T20I first match will be played on 12 june. Pakistan's squad for the series has already announced squad is consist of following players :-

Shadab Khan hails from Punjab a multi talented leggier of Pakistan is touching new heights. Often compared to Australian captain Steve Smith who started his career as an ordinary leg spinner and became a top class batsman with his batting ability. On the other hand Shadab started his cricketing career at the age of 12 playing for his school team. He was then selected for Under 19 world cup 2016.

Where he put immediate effect on selectors by grabbing 9 wickets of 8 matches. He was praised by many greats of the game for his energy and magical variations. He debuted for Pakistan in series against Windies in West Indies he took 7 wickets for 21 runs in his first two T20 internationals and rewarded man of the match in both matches.

He played a key role in the final of Champions Trophy 2017 for Pakistan against India from taking an important catch of Virat Kohli on point to taking a review of Yuvraj Singh's wicket. Hassan Ali hails from Gunjrawala Punjab who has a simple bowling action and pack of variations, he debuted for Pakistan in 2016. he gained attention of Selectors after taking up 17 wickets at 17.5 in National Cup 2016. Peshawar Zalmi's coach Muhammad was monitoring domestic circuit and picked him in emerging category of Peshawar Zalmi team for inaugural Edition Pakistan Super League.
Peshawar Zalmi topped the points table and won the tournament under the captaincy of Shahid Afridi. Hassan Ali then selected in National team for tour of England where he grabbed 8 wickets in 4 matches. He also got his T20I in the same series.

He had a dream year of 2017, where he played key role in Pakistan triumph Champions Trophy 2017. He took 13 wickets in 5 matches of the tournament and awarded the man of the series award. In the same year he had taken three fifers one versus Australia and two against Windies. He was awarded bowler of the year by International Cricket Council. He was also ranked number one in ICC Bowlers rankings of One day international his ranking was overtaken by Indian Pace man Jaspirt Bumrah. Now he's ranked at 4.

He was leading wicket taker of year 2017 and became quickest to complete 50 wickets in 24 matches for Pakistan breaking the record of Pakistani great Waqar Younis who had taken 50 wickets in 27 matches.

While he was already given character certificate by Head Coach, now he's with Pakistani team on England's tour. On the other hand head coach Micky Arthur is believes that he's involved in some suspicious activities.

Fixing is a disease which is spreading slowly slowly in the world of cricket and many players like Muhammad Asif, Salman Butt, Muhammad Aamir have been effected by it.

Aamir bowled no balls at specific points deliberately. ICC banned him and his colleagues Salman Butt and M.Asif who were also involved in that scandal.Though M.Aamir successfully made a comeback after getting banned for five years from any forms of cricket. Probably he is only cricketer making it back to national side after being suspended for fixing. But He couldn't be the bowler he used to be. We know if he had not been banned he would have already been a star today.

28 years old aggressive Pakistani opener hails from Hyderabad Sindh is too effected by that disease. Sharjeel made his One Day and T20I debut against Sri Lanka. He scored 61 runs in his opening game. And followed it up scoring his maiden 50 off 25 balls against Sri Lanka. Later he was later selected for Asia Cup 2014. However he couldn't put an impact in Asia Cup 2014. He was picked by ISB for inaugural edition of Pakistan Super League where he strucked a  century off 62 balls 117. Finally His long term wait to be a part of squad came to an end as he made his comeback with a bang against Ireland by scoring fastest 152 off 86 balls. He found guilty by PCB anti-corruption unit for fixing in Pakistan Super League 2017 along with colleague Khalid Latif and suspended for five years. Pakistani all-rounder Muhammad Nawaz and fast bowlerr Muhammad Irfan were also questioned there were no evidence found against them.

Khan denied Involvement in fixing as he said "Nothing wrong is done by me everything will be cleared soon."

That Series versus Australia proved to be Khan's last international series. As he was banned from playing all forms of cricket for two and a half years for playing any kind of cricket and banned for five years to play international Cricket.
If he had not done fixing he would be a star in those five years.

Ahmed Shehzad wants to be an aggressive batsman like Australian great Ricky. Ahmed Shehzad made his debut when he was 17 years old against Australia in 2009. Just one year earlier than the modern day great Virat Kholi, though they resemble with each other but not their performance.

Every one know the heights Kohli has reached he's just behind Sachin Tendulkar in scoring most hundreds. On the other hand Ahmed Shehzad is still struggling to be a regular part of the Pakistani squad. He was part Pakistan squad which won 2009 T20 World Cup tough he had just played one Match.
Right after five years in 2014 he became only Pakistani to score a hundred in all three format of the game. He debuted for Pakistan in test playing against Sri Lanka in 2014 in Pakistan adopted home UAE. He scored his first test century in third test versus SL.

Ahmed Shehzad has always been making headlines Fitness issues and discipline. Ahmad had taken a back seat in people's eyes. with with his consistency in domestic levels selector had to put an eye at him. Pakistan the number one ranked T20I team they got number one in ICC T20 rankings when they defeated New Zealand in their own backyard, they T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand started on 23 Jan 2018 Pakistan had been already defeated by New Zealand in the series of five one international matches by 5-0. Pakistan also had a poor started to the T20 series as the got all-out on just 105 runs inside 20 overs and given kiwis a target 106 to chase, New Zealand chased it down easily by just losing three wickets. second T20 match was played three days after the first match on 25 Jan 2018, we witnessed a completely different Pakistani team in that match. In 2009 Sri Lankan cricket team was attacked by a group of attackers when they were off to their way to Qaddafi Stadium Lahore to play third day of second test match against  Pakistan. the team was just to reach Qaddafi stadium when a group of 12 gunmen attacked the team. causing the death of six Pakistan policemen and two civilians. many Sri Lankan players also got injured including the captain of the team Kumar Sangakara.

Since then no major team test playing nation toured Pakistan. in 2015 Zimbabwe became first team to tour to Pakistan after six years of the attack on Sri Lankan team and helped Pakistan to revive the cricket in Pakistan. in 2017 final of Pakistan Super league was also played in Pakistan between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators foreign players and officials also participated in the final. That left a positive impact on ICC as they decided to send World XI team to Pakistan for three T20 international matches. after the tour was successfully held again Sri Lanka toured Pakistan for three T20I matches in the last of 2017. It was shocking not only for Pakistan but also for the world as the team which was attacked became one of those countries which helped Pakistan to get its lost image in other words the helped Pakistan to revive cricket .

In 2018, yet another three matches were played in Pakistan. two eliminators of Pakistan super league were played in Qaddafi Stadium Lahore and the major final of the tournament was played in Karachi National stadium. in April 2018, West Indies made yet another noteworthy stride towards the recovery of cricket for as World Twenty 20 champions the West Indies played three consecutive Twenty 20 internationals in Karachi.

Although it has been three years that International Cricket has returned to Pakistan yet many big teams are still concerned about security situation in Pakistan. Now four times World Champions Australia is an new addition to those teams which have refused to play in Pakistan.

According to reports Pakistan had invited Australia to play only T20 in Pakistan where two Successful series had been held against Sri Lanka and West indies, but Australian media Has confirmed that ACB did not even Concentrate on that and clearly refused, further more ACB's Source told that players agreement is their First Preference.

Nonetheless Pakistan and Australia will face Each other for a series of 3 three test and one T20i this year in September and October dates Has not been finalised yet.
