He debuted in One day international for Pakistan in Champion Trophy 2017, He was given a nickname of "Super Star Khan" for taking up an important catch of Virat Kohli on point in the final and for taking clever review of Yuvraj Singh's wicket, Pakistan won CT by defeating India by a huge margin of 180 runs.
