Shadab Khan will be promoted up in the order for the Series Against Australia and New Zealand
Shadab Khan hails from Punjab a multi talented leggier of Pakistan is touching new heights. Often compared to Australian captain Steve Smith who started his career as an ordinary leg spinner and became a top class batsman with his batting ability. On the other hand Shadab started his cricketing career at the age of 12 playing for his school team. He was then selected for Under 19 world cup 2016.
He ended up topping the chart of most wickets with 11 wickets in 6 games that earned him a place In Islamabad United's squad in emerging category for Pakistan Super League. Where he put immediate effect on selectors by grabbing 9 wickets of 8 matches. He was praised by many greats of the game for his energy and magical variations. Islamabad United's coach Dean Jones said, "Shadab Khan is pure gold". and legendary leg spinner Shane Warne said, "Shadab Khan is very good young prospect it would ne great seeing him playing with Yasir Shah".
He debuted for Pakistan in series against Windies in West Indies he took 7 wickets for 21 runs in his first two T20 internationals and rewarded man of the match in both matches.
He played a key role in the final of Champions Trophy 2017 for Pakistan against India from taking an important catch of Virat Kohli on point to taking a review of Yuvraj Singh's wicket. He has came a long way ahead with his wicket taking abilities he is currently ranked number two in ICC T20I spinners rankings.Head Coach Mickey Arthur had challenged him to perform well in England with bat. The leg spinner scored 3 fifties in 4 innings. First fifty came against Ireland who were playing their first test second fifty came in the home of cricket Lord's Cricket Ground against England and third too versus England in leeds test. His batting position will be changed for the series against New Zealand and Australia. There will be so much responsibilities on the young spinner.
